About Yoga

Yoga is an ancient spiritual process that came to India 5000 years ago. This process improves the health of our whole body. The word yoga means to meet or join, so yoga is the practice of joining the body, mind, and soul.

The Best Age to Start Yoga for Kids

Early Childhood (Ages 3-5):

At this age, children can take advantage.     while playing, which will benefit them as well as entertain them. For the benefit of children, yoga postures should be mixed with games and stories. This will help children develop coordination, balance, and flexibility right from the beginning. Children will learn yoga while having fun without any hard practice.

Primary School Age (Ages 6-9)

Children of this age are often good at following commands and practicing simple poses. This is a good time to take some new classes or participate in extracurricular activities that teach us breathing techniques, basic postures, and mindfulness exercises.

Pre-Adolescence (Ages 10-12)

As children grow older, they can perform more difficult postures. Yoga relieves stress, improves concentration and helps them develop physically. Classes may focus on alignment and mindfulness.

 

 

 

 

Teenagers (Ages 13+)

Children of this age can typically practice more advance poses, including difficult postures and deep meditation. Doing yoga at this age promotes mental health, body awareness, and emotional regulation.
